Top Ten Things You Need With You on a Trip

As much as we enjoy travelling, we can all agree that packing for the trip is just as gruelling. From finalising the perfect outfits to making sure that we have got all the important items, packing at some point starts getting on our nerves. It gets far worse if you are travelling for the first time to a new state or country. But don’t worry we’ve got you. Though every place demands specific requirements we have tried to come up with a generalised list of top 10 things that you need to carry with you on a trip.

Travel documents

First and most importantly you need to pack travel documents like your passport, visa, driving licence etc. and keep it at a safe and easily accessible place. It is advised that you keep these documents on you while travelling as many international places require you to verify your passport for entry.

Money and cards

You need to carry cash of the local currency and activate international usage on your cards (both credit and debit) or get global cards. These again are very important and you need to make sure that they are at a safe place in your backpack.

Travel Adapter

If you are travelling internationally then travel adapters are going to be your best friends. Find out about the kind of sockets available in the country that you are visiting and carry an adapter accordingly to which you can connect your charger.

Portable Charger

Your phone is definitely going to die on you with the millions of pictures that you are going to click at every instagrammable spot and we definitely don’t want that. So carry portable chargers or power banks so that you can keep your devices powered up throughout the day.

First Aid Kit

This is yet another necessity while travelling. Make sure that you have pain relief spray, bendages, antiseptic and all the other things that a first aid kit should contain with appropriate expiry dates. While packing these, it looks unnecessary but you are going to thank yourself for putting it in when the need arises.

Medication

Do not forget to carry your regular medications. There are very high chances of not being able to find these in the city or country that you are visiting and we don’t want you missing your regular doses. Also carry emergency medicines for any unforeseen illnesses.

Small Travel Containers

Make sure that you transfer all your lotions, creams, perfumes, shampoo, conditioner, etc into travel size containers available in the market. This will help you to not carry unnecessary weight and minimise the space usage.

Headphones

These are again a very important addition to your bag irrespective of whether you are travelling alone or with a group. At some point all of us end up wanting some alone time with our music and podcasts.

Wet wipes

You will need these in your bag especially when there are days with packed itinerary. These help you feel refreshed in the middle of a tiring day of travel and when there are no washrooms available to freshen up.

Entertainment

Entertainment is important for the long journey to your destination. Bring with you a book, download a movie on your phone or TV series to keep yourself entertained.

All of these can vary depending on personal preferences. This list will at least help you get an idea of what you should carry with you in that suitcase apart from the basic things. Make sure that you are aware about the weather of the places you are visiting and pack accordingly. Travel safe and have an amazing trip.
